C++0x本：conversionの訳語

現在、私は、規格のconversionに対して、型変換と言葉を当てている。しかし、あるいは変換でもいいだろうか。型変換の方が、誤解がなくていいと思うのだが。

    そうですね。英語などの西洋語は対象の名詞を含ませないことが多いですが、日本語や漢語はそうでないので、conversionの訳として型変換でもいいと思います。ただ、元がconversionなのだから、読者には「変換」で我慢してもらうという手もあるとは思います。
