まあ、議論はいろいろあるが、GNOMEやKDEのような巨大なデスクトップ環境が勝手に自爆しているだけじゃないかという気がする。
ドライバーに関しては、カーネル外部のAPIをぶち壊したことはない。カーネル内部はカーネル内部なので自由に変えられる。不自由なドライバーは死ぬべきだ。
Linusの自由なソフトウェアに対する矛盾した態度も感心できない。Linuxは便利ならば何でもいいと考えているのだ。方やリチャード・ストールマンの掲げる自由なソフトウェア運動を批判しながら、また一方では、nVidiaの不自由で消極的な支援も批判する。自分の言動が矛盾しているとわからないのだろうか。
