[Phoronix] Apache Kills Off Its C++ Standard Library

phoronix.comはこの手の情報をどこから見つけてくるのだろう。Apatchのstdcxxとも呼ばれているApacheのC++標準ライブラリの実装が、開発を終了するそうだ。アナウンスがML上でなされている。
もっとも、stdcxxは、2008年から更新が途絶えていたそうだ。
ApacheのSTL実装は、一体誰が使っているのか謎だった。コンパイラーに付属しない、GCCやMSVCといったコンパイラーや、POSIXやWindowsといったOS上で動作する、結構移植性の高いSTL実装なので、面白いと言えば面白かったが、やはり用途が謎だ。
